Note: There are two major events that will cause the physical return of Jesus Christ to this earth (1) the rapture, and (2) the great tribulation there are many differing views about the exact order of these events. Some bible scholars say the rapture will take place before tribulation starts; some believe it will take place half way through the tribulation, some believe it will take place at the end of tribulation.

THE RAPTURE:
7. What do the following verses tell us about this event?
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

The word “rapture” is not in the Bible; however, the concept of Christians being quickly snatched away from the earth to meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the air is definitely portrayed in the above verses of Scripture. In 1 Thessalonians 4:
17 the word “caught” is the Greek word “harpazo” which means “to seize; catch away, up; pluck; pull.”

Matthew 24:42-46

THE TRIBULATION:
This is a 7 year period of time preceding the physical return of Jesus Christ to this earth. The first 3 ½ years will be a time of false peace, and the last 3 ½ years will be a time of unbelievable disasters and affliction culminating in the last great war on earth referred to as “Armageddon.” The last 3 ½ years is also referred to as the time of “God’s wrath.” (Also read Daniel 9:
24-27 and Revelation 13:
5 these passages of Scripture refer to the length of time that the tribulation will take place. Reading these Scriptures in the Living Bible Translation will help you better understand the Biblical references to the number of years that are appointed for tribulation.)

Heed the warning of Scripture be alert and ready for He is coming soon!
Matthew 24:31 “And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.”

Praise God, you made it I pray that you have learned more about your
