TO SUMMARIZE GOOD WORKS AND DEAD WORKS:
*Dead Works-a legalistic effort to keep moral laws and ceremonial laws for the purpose of winning God’s favor; or any work done for the purpose of winning God’s favor. Dead works lead to self righteousness.
*A good work is doing all we can do for the glory of God, having no other motive (such as personal gain or recognition.)
*Good works are an expression of our love for God and our fellow being.
Faith in Christ brings salvation and salvation produces good works. Good works are the fruit of “saving faith.”
Take time to pray and repent from any dead works in your life. Ask God to work through your life and lead you into the good works that He already prepared for you.
