MEMORY VERSE:Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”

Do you have faith or wishful thinking?
Do you try to “think positive” and “hope” everything will work out all right, or do you have faith that God will work everything out?
The Biblical concept of faith is so much deeper than wishful thinking or making positive confessions that will hopefully come true!

10. Romans 12:3 Does every believer have faith?
11. Romans 10:17 What is the relationship between the Word of faith?
12. Hebrews 12:2 Who helps your faith develop and grow?
13. 1 Corinthians 13:2; Galatians 5:6 What must motivate your faith?

16. John 20:24-29 Thomas was a “doubting” disciple. Although he was a doubter, he was not an “unbeliever.” Doubting can be cleared up with more information, but unbelief chooses not to believe even in the face of more facts and information.

Did Jesus respond to his prayer?
18. Matthew 13:58 What sin can exclude you from seeing God work?
Remember: The opposite of faith is doubt, it is unbelief. Doubt only needs more facts. Unbelief is disobedience and refuses to act in accordance with what God has declared.
Faith is not something that we try to get to make the Word happen in our lives...it is accepting the Word of God at face value, receiving it as we would the word of a trusted friend.
Take time to pray, confessing any unbelief you may have in your heart concerning the Word of God. Ask Jesus, who is the author and perfecter of your faith, to help you grow strong in faith.
